Funshine Productions is a professional production company, established in 1998 to primarily produce musical plays for children from Nursery through to Keystage 2, and family audiences.
Touring schools and libraries each year to audiences of over 60,000 children.

Following on from the huge media coverage concerning rising obesity levels in children, and from the many requests from teachers and PSHE’s, Funshine Productions became involved in finding a way, to make it fun for children to want to make the change to a healthier diet and lifestyle themselves.

In consultation with primary school teachers and with extensive nutritional research, 2006 saw the launch of Funshine Productions innovative Let’s Get Fit4Life school show programme.

The company now specialises in this area and 2007 has seen the production of the much requested Let’s Get Fit4Life CD, taken directly from the show for schools to use as an extra resource.

Whilst working on the healthy eating and fitness ideas, a new project evolved, and a brand new children’s book character was created ‘Gary the Gardener’.

Gary will feature in a series of children’s books on growing healthy food, recycling and the environment, and the mascot of Gary will be available to visit schools for book promotion days.

2008 will see the launch of two new school programmes:
Be Safe, Be Smart, Let’s All Play Our Part. This will be a combined safety and anti-bullying show.
Read A Good Book Today will encourage and inspire children to read books.

All productions feature bright colourful eye catching scenery and costumes with original and professionally recorded music and songs. The shows are devised for a particular target audience, and great care is taken to ensure that both the content and style are appropriate for young audiences.
